18 июля 2012 исполнится 20 лет со дня создания I-ой загруженной в интернет фото. Загрузка фото, что весьма логично, случилась там же, где родилась Глобальная Сеть в ее сегодняшнем виде - в Швейцарии, в стенах Европейского центра ядерных исследований (CERN), передает OSZONE.net. I-я фотография, которая возникла на сайте и по ней кликнули мышкой, изображала участников пародийной музыкальной группы Les Horribles Cernettes (франц. "Страшненькие девушки из CERN"), созданной сотрудниками Центра. Автором песен для Les Horribles Cernettes был Сильвано де Дженнаро, 1 из работников CERN. Музыкальный коллектив состоял из 4-х девушек, которые были административными работниками и учеными CERN .



18 июля 1992 г. Сильвано де Дженнаро в ходе музыкального фестиваля Hardronic располагался за сценой в тот миг, когда его группа готовилась выйти на сцену. Сильвано попросил девушек попозировать для обложки их будущего CD и сфотографировал их собственным Canon EOS 650. Тим Бернерс-Ли, 1 из создателей интернета, работал вместе с Сильвано. Спустя некоторое время после фестиваля Hardromic, Бернерс-Ли и его исследовательская команда разработала новую версию интернета с поддержкой файлов фотографий. Он попросил у Сильвано прислать ему по FTP изображения связанные с CERN. Де Дженнаро отправил ему несколько фотографий, из которых был фотоснимок коллектива музыкальной группы Les Horribles Cernettes, отредактированный на компьютере Macintosh в I-ой версии редактора Photoshop в формате gif. По слухам, Бернерс-Ли был склонен к переодеванию в женскую одежду, вероятно, и, это обстоятельство побудило его выбрать для загрузки в интернет именно фотокарточку с привлекательными дамами в платьях. К слову, Les Horribles Cernettes выступают до сих пор стали I-ой музыкальной группой с личным сайтом в интернете.

By the way, Les Horribles Cernettes steels as the first musical group with a personal site on the Internet act till now.
