Генеральный директор Google Ларри Пейдж, у которого четыре месяца наза пропал голос, вновь может говорить, уведомляет The Wall Street Journal. В течение каждого этого времени не выступал публично. Получасовое выступление Пейджа во вторник на годичной конференции Google Zeitgeist, стало первым за последние четыре месяца. "Я все еще немножко хриплю, но я тут, и я радостен от этого", - сказал Пейдж в ходе своего выступления. Существенная часть речи главы Google была посвящена жалобам антимонопольных органов Евросоюза к Google. Пейдж выразил веру, что Google уладит все задачи с европейскими сановниками.



   Пейдж припомнил, что сходственной критике компания теснее подвергалась, когда запустила картографический сервис Google Maps, в котором механически стала демонстрироваться добавочная информация (о торговых объектах, скажем), раньше каждого, из сервисов Google. "Люди говорили: отчего это вы показываете только свои итоги? Чай есть же еще сервис MapQuest! Но никто теперь не пользуется этим сервисом", - подметил Пейдж. Комментируя задачи с европейскими регуляторами, Пейдж также подметил, что пользователю главно обнаружить то, что ему необходимо, а не получить несколько вариантов из различных поисковых систем. "Когда пользователь набирает в поисковике цифровая камера Sony, он не ищет ссылки на другие поисковые движки, которые соперничают с Google. Ему надобна информация о продукте. Он хочет приобрести продукт", - сказал Пейдж. Помимо того, гендиректор Google прокомментировал обстановку с отказом компании Apple от применения карт Google в пользу собственного картографического приложения, качество которого оказалось низким. Впрочем глава Google не известил, будет ли выпущено приложение Google Maps для платформы iOS. Сплетни об этом в сети циркулируют теснее длинное время, но пока не находят официального подтверждения. Опасения по поводу здоровья сооснователя Google появились в четверг, 21 июня, когда он не явился на годичное собрание акционеров. СМИ также обратили внимание на то, что он давным-давно не оставлял новых сообщений на своей странице в соцсети Google+. В компании его неимение объяснили тем, что Пейдж "утратил голос", и следственно ему пока сложно говорить. При каких обстоятельствах это случилось, не уточнялось. Впрочем когда стало вестимо, что Пейдж не примет участия в годичной конференции Google I/O, опасения по поводу его здоровья круто возросли. Особенно нервозные комментаторы даже утверждали, что заявления Google напоминают те, которые делала Apple во время болезни Стива Джобса, преуменьшая тяжесть его состояния. Через несколько дней 39-летний миллиардер лично опроверг гипотезы, написав работникам, что его жизни ничего не угрожает. Все это время взамен него со СМИ, партнерами и инвесторами общались председатель совета директоров Google Эрик Шмидт и сооснователь компании Сергей Брин. Кстати, еще до загвоздок с голосом, Пейдж зарекомендовал себя как человек, избегающий публичных выступлений. Ларри Пейдж и Сергей Брин сделали поисковую систему Google и основали одноименную компанию совместно в 1998 году. Должность гендиректора Пейдж занял в апреле 2011-го. На этой должности он сменил Эрика Шмидта, управлявшего интернет-гигантом с 2001 года. Шмидт стал председателем правления. Сергей Брин является главой технологического подразделения Google.
