"Самый тонкий в мире" жесткий диск от Western Digital - Western Digital has let out "the most thin in the world" a hard disk

Компания Western Digital, огромнейший мировой изготовитель жестких дисков, анонсировала выпуск новых суперкомпактных гибридных накопителей в форм-факторе 2,5 дюйма с толщиной корпуса 5 мм, информирует CNews.ru. Изготовитель извещает, что это самый тонкий в мире грубый диск, подходящий для самых тонких ультрабуков - легких и суперкомпактных ноутбуков, разработанных по инициативе Intel, дабы соперничать с линейкой ноутбуков Apple MacBook Air. Напомним, типовые ноутбуки оснащаются 2,5-дюймовыми жесткими дисками с толщиной корпуса 9,5 мм. Впрочем в связи с ростом популярности больше суперкомпактных устройств изготовителям понадобились больше тонкие компоненты.



В начале этого года Western Digital теснее начала массовое производство 2,5-дюймовых жестких дисков с толщиной корпуса 7 мм, а сейчас, дабы еще огромнее соответствовать запросам рынка, разработан накопитель с толщиной корпуса 5 мм. Он занимает приблизительно на 50% поменьше места, чем типовой грубый диск, и владеет емкостью 500 ГБ, чего абсолютно довольно для большинства мобильных устройств. Новейший накопитель Western Digital относится к гибридному типу - оно комбинирует обычные магнитные пластины и флеш-память NAND с многоуровневой конструкцией ячеек. Презентация новых накопителей Western Digital состоится в границах мероприятия WD Investor Day, которое намечено на 13 сентября этого года.

It occupies approximately on 50 % of less place, than a standard hard disk, and possesses capacity 500 ГБ of that it is quite enough for the majority of mobile devices. New store Western Digital concerns hybrid type - it combines traditional magnetic plates and flesh-memory NAND with multilevel structure of cells. The raised speed of work without reliability damage is as a result provided. Western Digital yet has not informed, how many there is a store and when the company plans to start its serial deliveries.
