Это может оказаться добавление виртуальных объектов к видеоизображению в режиме реального времени, наложение вспомогательной информации на изображение объектов и окружающего пространства и многое иное из того, что укладывается в данную концепцию. Реализация данной идеи стала возможной с появлением в мобильных устройствах мощных процессоров и широкого набора графических функций и возможностей. В израильском ролике показан 1 день из жизни инженера некой компании Sight Systems, в недалеком будущем. Его дом почти пуст, так как линзы позволяют ему видеть информацию прямо на стенах, превращающихся с их помощью в большой интерактивный телевизор. В начале мы видим ведущего персонажа по имени Патрик, играющего в игру с виртуальной реальностью. Собственно, вся его жизнь "геймифицирована": каждое воздействие в жизни приносит ему некоторое число очков, в зависимости от его сложности - даже нарезка огурца, ставшая в дивном новом мире игрой под названием Fruit Ninja. Позже, по видимости, набранные баллы "шарятся" с другими пользователями Facebook, или что у них там будет в будущем вместо него. По ходу сюжета герой отправляется на свидание вслепую с девушкой по имени Дафна - и вот оказывается, что дополненная действительность помогает ему в этом деле. Тестируемое им приложение Wingman дает Патрику преимущество в процессе встречи, так как у него есть права администратора, он может выяснить о девушке все, что необходимо. Возможно даже взломать и "пропатчить" ее высокотехнологичные линзы, чтоб заставить новую знакомую, которая вдруг обнаруживает Wingman и пробует убежать, делать все, что он захочет. Вечером, перед тем, как отойти ко сну, Патрик любуется собственными "трофеями" на стенах - наградами из различных приложений. При этом мутноватый блеск умных линз в глазах героя видеофантазии, как пишет посмотревший Sight обозреватель журнала "Афиша", вызывает "чуть меньшее омерзение, чем мир их будущего, который поднялся на еще одну ступеньку то ли комфорта, то ли безумия". According to the developers, the given technology will allow to raise knowledge of soldiers in fighting conditions. Innovega counts and on not military application of the lenses. The chief executive of the company has declared recently that wants to take out the patent for new technology and hopes that the devices created on its basis can arrive in open sale till the end of 2014.
